Phone Support Conversation I Just Had
Client: Hi, I'm trying to import a file, but it's not working.
Me: Okay. Can you describe the problem? What happens when you try to import the file?
Client: It doesn't work.
Me: ...Okay... Do you see an error message when you try to import the file?
Client: No, it just doesn't work.
Me: So you uploaded the file, and then you clicked "Import," right? Then what happened?
Client: It didn't work.
Me: ...Okay, I get that, but what exactly happens when you click "Import?" Does it start to import, but then fail? Do you see a blank screen? Does the page change at all?
Client: Nothing happens! I don't see anything! IT DOESN'T WORK.
Me: (sigh) Okay, look -- just send an email to support with the file attached, and I'll see if I can import it for you.
Client: Okay, I'll send the email right now, hold on. ... (typing sounds) .... (more typing) .... (frustrated mumbling) .... (more typing) .... I can't... why is this? ... (mumbling, typing) .... My computer doesn't work!
Me: (shoots self)
